NTBA
Summer Nationals This event was the NTBA's first attempt to put on a car show which was dedicated exclusively to T Buckets. The plan was to hold this event where it would be centrally located, and a place where everyone would enjoy the hospitality of the city. Branson Missouri was this place, also known as the "Country Music Capital of the world". As it truns out, it was a huge success! We ended up with 265 participants, and 82 T Buckets. Virtually all the activities went well, and all the participants enjoyed the company of fellow bucketheads. Probably the best activity was the mid-night cruise down Highway 76, and the 50's at the Hop. It was an incredible sight to see 12 miles of spectators cheering and taping the event! There were thousands of people lined along 76 to get a look at our T Buckets! And, there was only one citation issued for exhibition. The drive-through award ceremony was entertaining and fun, as it gave everyone an opportunity to see the vehicles/owners and the awards which they received. I hope we continue the drive-through ceremonies in future events. We have some 60 or 70 photos of the event, with more coming in every day. Enjoy your visit through the NTBA Summer Nationals Photo Gallery, and we hope to see you at our next "Millennium" Summer Nationals in July, 2000. |
