Mike & Dottie's Poker Run
The winners of the poker pot were the Courtneys, of Austin Texas. They won the guaranteed $50 prize, plus another $75 as the half pot. They also won one of the time prizes. The time winner was the car driven by Uncle Larry, Larry Green, of Albuquerque, NM. His navigator was Wes, he of the e-ticket ride. It means that young Wes got the free ticket for a carnival ride with Weelstang. He was riding with Bill Darr when he took his offroad adventure. Larry let Wes choose his prize, and he chose the big remote-control Big Foot truck. The winners were allowed, in order, to choose from the prizes provided. Those prizes included a rechargeable drill, a set of rechargeable walkie-talkies, a leather duffel bag, a wind-up flashlight, a trailer jack from Wheelstang, a T-shirt from the Royal 66, and 3 T-shirts donated by the North Texas T Buckets. A hard-luck prize was given to one participant who broke down, hitch hiked back to the fairgrounds, and drove another car to the finish line. |
