Pattern for 4 1/2 bolt circle
| Here are the coordinates for a 4-1/2" bolt circle. Bolt hub down securely
with clamps out of the way of where you want to drill, center on the bearing
register of the hub using an edge finder, move 2.250" to the left and
poke the first hole. Zero your dials(or DRO, if you have one)and move
to the right 1.555" and up 2.140" and poke another hole. Then back up
the "Y" axis dial to 1.323" and move further to the right until you reach
4.070" and put another hole there. The other two holes are a mirror image
of the top two and you will use the same coordinates. Always take up the
play in the lead screws in the same direction. by George Barnes |
