Reversing the Corvair steering box

I used a 3/16ths drill for pilot and and an 11/16ths for the final drilled hole.

 

This is the final step for drilling the lid.
Push the rear seal into inside of lid for perfect seal.

 

Use Ball peen hammer to install 15/16ths brass freeze plug.

 

Center a good bearing in rear race and grease box.

 

First tooth of Sector gear goes into first notch of pitman gear

Install final bearing

 

Re-install lid...your done with reverseing process
