SBC Motor Mounts (Frame side)
The tube motor mount crossmember for SBC engines and the locating pins for the bolt sleeves are 16-7/16" center to center. These mounts use a bolt sleeve that is 7/8" O.D. with a .120 wall thickness and is 2-9/16" inches long. The rubber insulator mount uses a 7/16" bolt, so it fits pretty easily through the bolt sleeve as its I.D. is 5/8" (actually .635"). This makes getting the bolt inserted a whole lot easier than when you're wrestling 800 or 900 pounds of engine and transmission around and trying to hit a hole with just a few thousands of clearance.
