Yakima mini nats

Post by Uncle Larry »

I finally made it to Yakima about 7:00 our time after two hard days of constant driving (650 miles per day). Got to stay with Jerry and Shannon Cook last night in Willard Utah. No one else at the hotel yet. 80 MPH speed limit in Utah, 65 MPH in Oregon whats up with that. Tons of water in the rivers. Lots and lots of grape vines and hops vines in the valley. Hills are brown just like N.M. Gas was $3.25 in Albuq and progressively got higher. $3.89 here for reg. Over &out

The first pic was at Stonehenge, Steve was wandering around looking for his car and it was right in front of him, He He, the second pic of a bldg front was very neat because they had painted on the windows and it looked like all sorts of things were going on in the bldg. That was at Topponish Wash. Lots of huge murals on large sides of bldgs. all over town. I don't recognize the last 2 pics.

Eating place with high price gas halfway to the mountain . Jodie got tired of her driver guy so she switched to ride with the good looking driver. NOT. Actually Johnathan Windy and Jodies son is taking the picture and he was riding with his dad.

The manager of the host hotel wanted a ride, so Walt (Nitro) obliged him. I believe he liked it

Magnificent country, Windy, Jodie and I cruised up that roadway on the side of mountain to left, we were almost into the national park. Mike if Angel would have come we would have had to have a full face blindfold and two boxes of Depends to get her to some of the places (sorry Angel I love you). :)

John Arnolds Bkt in front of neat place north of Yakima that Ceec picked to cruise too, to eat lunch. It was great that none of the cars had any Major problems at this Mini-Nats. :)!

This was way up in the hills (telephoto), Jodie thought she saw a bear but it was a stump!

Hey Windy ,I got some great videos of the beautiful scenery on our cruises with the Go Pro camera on the windshield of the T . When I pointed it backwards on the way to Rimrock Lake all I got was my ugly puss driving the T for an hour and a half. Will have to erase that. Added up the trip to Yakima, not even remotely what you have invested but, towed the trailer 2,578 miles, $962.00 gas in truck, drove T 1,071 miles (damn we cruised a lot) and had more fun than a man should be allowed to have! Pam is getting the pictures from the I-pad switched over to the computer. Should be able to post some of them. The family ones at the ski area came out good.Remember Jodie "No pooping here".  You'll find out what that means later , everyone.
