Need Action Video Camera Recommendations

Given all of the Funs Runs coming up, I would like to buy a video camera to mount on my T!

Any recommendations on best bang for the buck?

Well Mark I had a nice and sort of long reply, but apparently got timed out of here before I could post it and there fore it seems to have vanished. So I will recreate it again in a word document and then copy here later.

I have two dash cams:
1. CARWAY F30 - cost less than $50 , picture is very unstable in the T - not good. Moved it to my RAM truck, works good there.
2. PAPAGO GOSAFE 381 - cost $100+ very good picture, very stable, no shake.
You get what you pay for.

Well Mark, we were in your shoes a year ago and ultimately ended up with the Sony fdr-x3000. This was after much research watching video reviews, reading articles and talking to others. I initially bought the GoPro 7 silver only to find out it has a built-in battery, I returned it. I knew this would be a problem for the way we were going to use it. So, I then kind or made a list of the ways I thought we would be using it. I compared every camera to this list and if it came up short, I dropped it. We ended up thinking the GoPro was it in Black as it was the only GoPro with a removable battery. I wanted to stay with a name brand which had some assortment of accessories available not know what we would desire as we became more and more accustomed to using it. As we were zeroing in on the GoPro7 Black we found a deal on the Sony which was an extremely close second but more money than the GoPro, until we found the deal on the Sony. Now that we have many hours of video at my fingertips, I am very happy we chose the Sony. I really recommend you have at least 4 batteries and a charger that works off of 12-volt auto power and 115 volts as well plus at least 3 or 4 memory cards. You will want to not have all of your recording on one card in case it malfunctions during the day and you lose everything on that card. That way at night you can be down loading the days recordings to your laptop and recharging the batteries by morning for a fresh start. There is much more I have learned but this covers the bulk of the basics.
