Re: Thoughts and ideas.......
Hi, this is my wife and my first T event. We are staying at the KOA Holiday. Do you know if there is anyone else staying there? also is there an itinerary for the event? My T only has a 75 mile range so am limited on the trips unless there are fuel stops. We dont want to miss any of the events.
Thanks, Scott
Thanks, Scott

As of today, we are also in the KOA Holiday. I think we are there on the 8th of June. The Itinerary is in the works and there will be Gas stops so I think you will be OK. Dennis will answer here with better info on the trips.....See you there unless I still have a broke down car...........

Hi Scott,
We specifically try to keep you guys in mind with the short range. There will be fuel stops, we try to do it in the 50 to 75 mile range and if we have folks with real short range we keep that in mind. Distances can be long out west so I'm glad you mentioned it.
Glad your coming, I think you'll enjoy it!

We had our reservations at another campground out side Rapid City but I just did not have a good feeling about it, found that the KOA had some sites open so changes our reservations to the KOA. I have stayed there before when I would come up for Sturgis and remembered the pancake breakfast, can't wait to be there.

Hi all,
I have a question for y'all that concerns our Friday run to Spearfish Canyon. I will post an itinerary very shortly but I wanted to get this out there first.
On Friday we will leave the motel and head in the Deadwood - Lead area direction via Nemo Rd.. Most likely we are going to head south first toward Lead for a gas stop and continue on leaving Deadwood for later in the day. More about that in the itinerary. We'll continue on to Spearfish Canyon and this is where my question comes in. We have a good photo op, rest stop at the Latchstring Restaurant (https://spfcanyon.com/latchstring-restaurant) . Most likely this will be about lunch time. Problem is , they are expensive. We've eaten there before and everyone likes it, including us. I know that folks know me as "thrifty" but to be quite honest these $35 to $40 lunches that mess up our dinner are killing us. On up the road about 30 minutes is Spearfish which has fast food. For example there is a Taco Bell across the street from a McDonalds. Then 3 or 4 blocks on down the street is a Burger King with a big lot.
Think about it a little and give me some feedback.

I'm easy either way. But Taco Bell has stuff I like, as do the others. And $10 is better than $70 any day, right?
