Safety Day 2015

Well, Safety Day has come and gone, and a great time was had by all at our hosts-with-the-most, Danny & Karen Hessel. The neighborhood was alive with the growls of open headers, as T-buckets arrived and departed, giving those whose buckets needed a little tweak before the cruising season begins a great opportunity to allow another set of eyes to examine their cars. Steve McMullen applied his vaunted culinary skills to the backyard grill, and there was that special buckethead fellowship that we all know and crave. I especially enjoyed meeting new member, Bob Bettenhausen (yes, think Indy - he's the late Tony's cousin!) and wife, who these days does most of the T-bucket driving since Bob's eyesight is failing - but not his passion for hot rods!. There were others that were new to me, since I have not attended one of these in awhile. But . . . no bucketheads are strangers for very long! What a great way to spend a beautiful spring day!

Spanky it was so good to see you there today. I wish you could have stayed longer but was glad you got to spend what time you did. Katie posted some pics on FB and I saw you in a few of them . Take care my friend and don't stay away so long
