Road Kill, '70's style . . .

Post by Bill Cleveland »

My brother-in-law and I swap a 350 Chevy for the stock 6 cyl in his Land Cruiser, in the parking lot of his apartment, no less! :o (circa 1975)
He built the engine in his bedroom on a homemade engine stand, made from 2x4's! (which you can see below, mid-right side)

Bill, I bet most of us could come up with stories like this back in the Day.......I bet that LC ran good after that transplant.......

The first Hot Rod I had anything to do with was V8 Olds in a friend's Dad's Model A that the Dad was not happy with.........

Now for them sideburns that is just what we did back then also.......The Bell Bottoms were pretty cool for making a motor swap.......... :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)! :)!

I never wore those kinds of pants but I had the "burns and the shirts that had snaps, Levis & Boots, cause sometimes we had to get out of them shirts fast is you know what I mean...........LOL.......

Mike, you're right - that Cruiser ran like a scared rabbit, with torque out the _ss, esp. in low range! It was a hoot to drive off-road. :D

PS - I bet you'd love to have that Olds-powered A-bone today - way cool my man !!! :)!
