"Wifey and I went cruising with a few bucketheads last Saturday. Our journey took us through the winding roads of mid-Missouri to a small city known as Ironton. The city was founded in the late 1800's and the founder gave the city its name because to the abundance of natural iron ore in the area. While in Ironton, we all had lunch at Baylee Jo's Barbeque & Seafood Grill. This charming place included hardwood floors, wood panel walls and a jukebox. The menu featured everything from catfish to spare ribs. The food was good, the price was reasonable and the company was great! The round trip was about 120 miles and much of the cruise was along shade tree lined tertiary roads. The temperature was in the upper 80's/lower 90's and the wind was cool during most of our trip. Seems like the sky is bluer and the air is fresher when you get away from the big city (St. Louis). Wifey and I have lived in Missouri most of our life, but never traveled the roads that we traveled last Saturday. Our journey was as fantastic as the destination.
