Things to do in Branson

Post by Dennis Neblock »

For those of you like us that are looking at the snow flying- Think of the warm times coming.
How about a nice Photo-op in the evening. We've got a spot picked out. Good for group shots as well!

One of the newer attractions on the Strip is the "Aquarium at the Boardwalk"
But there are tons of Shows and Things to Do.
The plan is to have everyone back at the Host Hotel by 4:00 or so, that way they can pick their evening activities. Most places have a minimum of 15 or 20 guests for group rates so we probably won't try to book a club event. The motel will have a sheet of discounted show tickets. They are delivered to the motel, so no waiting in line.

One of our day trips at the Nat's will be to the College of the Ozarks. Often known as "Hard Work U". We'll go to the Ralph Foster Museum which is basically an "Americana" museum. There are also smaller museums and shops to stop by:

However, for you guys that have done stuff you shouldn't have done and told the Missus that you owe her a good "High Brow" dinner. You might want to check this out!

Scroll on down to "explore" on The Keeter Center link to see some of the campus

What we have in mind is a nice trip to Eureka Springs Arkansas on Monday. It will be a long day so we're doing it early in the week when everyone is fresh. The loop will be 53 - 56 miles each way plus any side trips. Gas stops and "relief" stops are available on the way, not a problem for the 8 mpg folks. There are multiple ways to do this and it will be up to the individuals on how they want to do it. The main is idea is to go eat at the Rowdy Beaver https://rowdybeaver.com/restaurant-and-tavern/menu
. Now after that we have choices. We can take a side trip to the Beaver Lake dam overlook and go over the suspension bridge at Beaver https://www.arkansas.com/beaver/landmarks/beaver-bridge
and return home, or stay in Eureka Springs and either explore on your own. or take the trolley around town. www.eurekatrolley.org
Here's a little info about the town. https://www.visiteurekasprings.com/?utm ... mZEALw_wcB
Or do it al!!! Keep in mind that if you stay around town to explore , you may have to find your own way home because everyone will be on their own time schedule. We're having a lot more folks arriving on Sunday than we anticipated so if it's a little to early to tackle something this long or for the folks arriving Monday or later we might do it again later in the week if there is enough interest.

Here's your January 29th teaser for the Branson Nat's.
There are all kinds of things to do around town so we are going to try and get you off the road before 4 or 5 o'clock. This way you can have enough time to clean up and go out for the evening. Here are 3 of the "Hot Commodities" in town, with a little variety!
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede

Have Dinner and watch a show!

Showboat Branson Belle

Have dinner and watch a show on Table Rock Lake!
__________________________________________________________________________
Presley's Country Jubilee
www.Presleys.com
Get your full Hillbilly on! One of the first and most successful music shows in town!
__________________________________________________________________________
Most shows in town require 15 to 20 in a group and also require payment up front which has not worked out well in the past. Your best bet is to get your favorite running mates and go out together.
Enjoy!

Just so you know,
It's a little hilly down in the Ozarks. High powered T Buckets can handle it!
Now, as far as the guys with just brakes on the back......... :o :o :o
