Well - - - - the RainX WAS on the windshield. That little "drizzle" did it in, completely.

Believe this! Two hours later (west of St. Louis) we were cruisin' (about 25mph) down a four lane divided (with sloped curbs) portion of Missouri Rt.66 History. We came upon a huge rock cut for Rt.66 that was the biggest cut made for a hiway in the USA (at the time). Then on an earlier portion (mid 30's?), we found the Original Munger Moss owned Inn/Tavern. We stopped, and sampled of course.

That all looks familiar Lyle. We used the " E Z 66 Guide" it was a great spiral bound book that had maps and facts for every mile of the trip.
The Author even had directions to his house so you could stop and say hi.

Hey Mr. Winfield! That's to cool. We have the set of state by state maps from Jim Ross And we stopped at the authors place on the old section of Rt.66 east of Arcadia, I think!!
Great guy, so MUCH knowledge about the Mother Road's history He was surprised to see a T doing RT.66, said he has seen a few over the years.
We were just discussing the idea of doing The Mother Road again, this time from West to East, and take 2 months to do it
