good evening boys and girls, i am wanting to hear from anyone running the zoomies on their cars. are they louder than the normal turn outs? any problem with rain? etc, etc, thanks

My brother, Weezer, had zoomies on his blown 351 powered bucket, and quieted them with large washers spot-welded in the throats of each pipe. I seem to remember that he had them tilted at about a 30 degree angle inside the pipes, and it was not as loud as you might think.

I run mine wide open,no baffles most officers give me the thumbs up,no tickets yet.

personally im not concerned with the law LOL im more interested in how loud they are when driving down interstate. in comparison to the sprint or t bucket headers with turn outs, im wondering how much louder they are? if any?

I remember going on a long cruise with Bull Dog (he was running zoomies w/baffles) and he could hardly talk the next day because of the fumes.
Not saying they are all like that.

good point about the fumes, now that is something i didnt think about, very true and i will b driving mine a lot, not trailering, i think i may have to just stick to the sprint style and maybe leave the muffler insert out if i want a little louder, im glad i asked, thanks again,

I like the sprint style , I have both kinds , and the classics are defiantly louder ...

so mr dewey, what u r saying is if i get the classics, it will be inbetween the zoomies and the sprints? i would like some loudness but not where i cant stand it when im driving for long periods of time on highway. i would guess the 20" turnouts would b little louder than the 26"? any of these noise factors have any affect on power or performance. i i dont plan on putting the little mufflers in the turn outs so im guessing i'll have my loudness LOL
