I just wanted to say, that I don't understand why the chapter information is not here on the NTBA and instead is carried on Facebook! Seems to me that this is the place for news of the chapter activities and not another site that has nothing to do with T-Buckets. Well, that's what I think. Good luck!

There are folks that use both and some that use one or the other. We, as officers want to make the information available through what ever venue it takes to get it out there! That is why we use both. ALL it takes to get chapter information on here is for someone to start posting and making sure others are aware of it being there. We haev tried in STL but only a limited nmber of flks would check on a regualr basis so we use email and text instead.. There is no right or wrong answer on this, only personal preferences.. Hope that helps to explain the "why"..

It seems to me that the first line of communications for this organization should be this web site. As you can see the activity for this chapter is nothing as far as chapter news. I don't even see a reference that you should go to another site for chapter news or updates. I don't agree that the T-Bucket site is not the place to go for chapter news. Something is really wrong here with that line of thinking!

I would have to agree Harry, in makes no sense to me that we run 2 Facebook pages and a Website, I was under the impression that FB was to be used to promote this site and all info would be posted here.... all that seems to be happening is the Club is being split down the middle and all of the information has to be posted twice, making twice the work for everyone. I know Jan and I wrote this site, but we are also members as well, so our two cents should count too.... Sorry boss, but That's the way we see it.... Ted n Jan too

Again, there are folks that choose one method or the other and some use both. MY preference is to use our Website first but I will also make sure information gets on FB for those that do not use the website. Folks have attended many events in the past months becvause they found out bout them on both venues!!

Regarding splitting the group Ted, that was already done and I have been spending the past 18 months doing maintenance and repair.... I think those of us doing the posting are doing that portion of the work so it is not being put on anyone else's shoulders. We provide an option for both!!!

One thing I know for sure, not everyone will EVER agree regarding certain issues and I am good with that. We, as a board, will continue to make our decisions based on what we feel is in the best interest for the entire NTBA family!! Harry, as always, I appreicate your feedback and opinion my friend.

I can't help but feel that you are missing the point here! The activity on this site has been nothing, no updates no activities. As I have been told, it has all been listed on Facebook. The Prez of this chapter hasn't even bothered to join in with a comment. I feel that the direction of not using this site to update chapter news is a big mistake. I know you have a big job Rolla, and lots to do, but this has to be brought to your attention. I hope that Ted will carry the ball from here.

Sorry Harry, I'm going to back off on this one. My feelings are well known and have been well voiced. The President and Exec are doing a great job of running the club and it is up to the general membership to choose the method that they want to communicate through. I personally don't like FB, or the FB format that was chosen, but that is just me. I don't run the Club, and I have to trust the Executive I voted for to do what they feel is best for the Club as a whole and I believe they are....... I am more comfortable here so I stay here as I hope more members will do. Ted

Harry I don't think there is anyway to say someone should use one or the other to communicate. I would have a talk with you chapter members to get this worked out internally. I think this is a chapter issue.......

I happen to do both FB & the Website because other folks choose to do that also.............I would hope that any thing pertaining to the NTBA would be posted first on the website and then some other media if needed. But no one is going to try to tell anyone else they can not post on FB but only post info on the Website..... ... just my .02........may not be worth that much...

I think I see the point being made, info is being posted on FB and not being posted on our site. Meaning if a person goes to the NTBA site they get partial info. I absolutely hate FB and go there when I have no choice. One of the things about FB is I have not taken the time to understand how exactly it works. FB and Twitter just seem to make my skin crawl. Lots of people love FB and Twitter, so there must be something I am not seeing.
