Trains full of North Dakota oil heading to PNW
ND is now sending job's out of state as well our oil. Everyone wins when we develop our resources.
LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) - Trains full of North Dakota crude oil are chugging toward the Pacific Northwest.
The Daily News of Longview reports (http://is.gd/HDB8Qi ) says the oil is brining jobs and business opportunities to the Lower Columbia region but it also is raising fears that the river will become a fossil fuel highway.
Last year, oil cars began leaving the Bakken shale region centered near Williston, N.D., en route 1,200 miles to Columbia County to be unloaded at Port Westward near Clatskanie.
Earlier this year, Tesoro proposed to build a $100 million terminal at the Port of Vancouver that would create 80 jobs. And similar proposals are being considered in Tacoma and Grays Harbor County. The oil would be loaded onto barges and sent to West Coast refineries.

Re: Drill Baby Drill
Gilbert,
It is sad after all the hard work that you and Mary Ann put into this year's Nats, that you negate that with complicity in the vandalism of my T. I just don't understand. Then your flippant remark that for 20 years you put on and removed stickers on your race car is rather lame in justification. You do know there is a difference between applying a sticker to a race car because of contractual agreements where you more than likely prepped the surface with wax, and some low life stripping off the wax of someone's personal ride to apply a sticker they know is contrary to the beliefs of that person.
I have sent you an email that you won't respond to, so I'll just ask on this open forum, a friend would not have been involved in this stunt, and for the last 2 years I did think of you as a friend.
