Mike I totally agree with you. I remember the days when if a cop seen you in a hot rod you were in trouble. We have finally live those day down and have earned the respect we deserve. All it will take is a few ******* to spoil it for us all. I even hate to see those type of post put out there for people to see. Racing is for tracks not public streets.
Been there, done that, hope to live long enough to do it all again.

Mike, I do get it and understand. It is just that our rides have such potential. I wish for some sanctioned events like the Cobra groups do, track day, autocross, or even just a rodeo event like at the Buckethead Bash. Unsanctioned is unsafe and hurts our rep, so in agreement there too.

Not to mention what something like that would do for the insurance rates that the NTBA pays for these events; not to mention what would happen to an owners insurance rates if he/she were involved in a street race and got a speeding ticket or worse case scenario got hurt/killed someone. Why on earth would anyone want to take that sort of risk???? If you do , you're a damned idiot and pretty sure as a lifetime member and member number one...I would NOT want you or any person who thinks this way to be a member of the NTBA.

Sorry if I have offended anyone....and maybe half of the conversations in this thread should have been on the MOBBS....but this is something I feel VERY strongly about and everyone should as well. This goes for the folks who take kids..little kids out for a ride in their bucket at a show or a neighborhood kid...what YOU do with and in that cars reflects right back towards the NTBA....so if you decide you're going to hot dog it a bit and you lose control or something falls off the suspension......and do NOT say it can't ever happen...NEVER say it can't happen....REMEMBER..........

Remember always that IF you are a member of the NTBA, and you have an NTBA sticker on your windshield, everything and anything you do in that bucket...reflects back upon the NTBA.

I've taken 100's of pictures and videos posted in the POTD section and video section plus everything I took is posted here http://tbuckets.lefora.com/2013/06/18/2 ... =39#post39 and here http://tbuckets.lefora.com/2013/06/17/t ... =17#post17 those links were updated every evening during the week.

As to any performance events at our Nats, I've said my peace, and like the Cobra events we might include at least a rodeo or auto cross in the future. Maybe a dyno pull to separate the BS from fact in bench racing.

Some of the clubs I have been in (one in Orange county CA.) would send you home for being a squirrel. We had three people injured an two cars wrecked because of horse play. If you want to race put it on the track where it can be controlled.
Just my two cents.

WTF does all that mean? Your 1st post and you climb on my back. Just when I thought I was finding more folks in this group that I share some common interests with, you pop off.

And who are you? We use our names on this forum, with a handle if we prefer.

Nice to meet you Roger. It sounds like we might have met at the Nats and appears I didn't portray a very positive 1st impression?
