Mike, I'm sure we can work it into the schedule. Maybe we can get some prizes donated by local businesses.

I have searched my old laptop for the files, but I haven't found them yet. It's not a big deal; I can redo the instructions, etc.

OK, when would be a good time? I'm still looking for the direction files; I have to look at the hard drive in an old, dead laptop.

OK, folks, it looks like we will be holding the combination rally/poker run Friday morning in Mountain Home. Not all the plans are in place, but we will be leaving from some central location (not the fairgrounds), hopefully one with coffee, etc., available. The run itself takes about 2 hours. We will be ending at some central location, again hopefully a place where we can sit down, get out of the heat, and enjoy something cold to drink and maybe a snack while the judging of times and poker hands is going on (not the honky-tonk we ended at last time). There will be prizes for best time, and those who want to buy into the poker run will be eligible for prizes for best hand, etc.

The buy-in for the poker run will be $5 per car.

Just a heads up. The rally is a timed event, but NOT a race. You will follow the directions you are given exactly, obeying all traffic laws, including full stops at all stop signs, etc. Your goal is to achieve the PERFECT time, which will be set by me after pre-running the course. This is an event for fun. Every driver should have a navigator.

Expect the route to be close to 75 miles. There will be time included in the "perfect time" to allow for a gas stop (or a restroom/soda stop if you don't need gas).

I will need a few people to help me, including 3 people to go out to intermediate stops to hand out poker cards. ALL THE CARDS WILL BE SEALED IN OPAQUE ENVELOPES; DO NOT OPEN THE ENVELOPES!!!

So...how does this sound, Larry and any others who participated last time?

I opened this thread up to the public board in case there were non-NTBA-members interested in the schedule for the Nats.
