That is a very nice car you have there. I really like the finished photos even though they are never finished, until we either get to old to drive or you just sell it,..

Thanks for joining the family and hope to see you either in Sierra Vista in November or at the Prescot Nationals next June..... Maybe some where else you just never can tell....

Hey all,
So I’m gonna ramble for a bit... won’t be able to make Arizona but it sounds like a great run. I’ve reached out to the Nev Cal chapter hope to get hooked up with those fellas. I think I’ve figured out how I’m going to do the friction shocks. I’ll take some pics as fabrication moves along. I’ll be looking for rear tires before too long. Do you guys have any opinions on Hoosier vs Mickeys? On the Mickeys how about the sportsman vs the radial? Looking to go with a 16.5 wide 28” to 30” tall. Rim is 13” wide x 15” dia. Currently running the 18.5x29 sportsman, they’re too wide for my wheels.
Rear spring rate? Rear end is 4 linked with a panard bar. Started with 350# coil overs. Way stiff swapped for 250#, I think I could go lighter still. I don’t know what the car weighs, have yet to scale it. What are you guys typically running for a rear coil?
That’s enough for now, you’re tired of reading and my thumbs are getting sore.

Hope you can do some cruising with some of the Nor-Cal NTBA members. It's always twice the fun when two or more buckets go cruising!

Re: rear coil overs . . . looking at your setup, I'll bet you weigh somewhere between 1800-1900 lbs, and another consideration is how will the car normally be loaded when driving. Mine is almost always just me in the car, so I am biased toward the lightest spring rate I can get by with. Some guys always have a co-pilot, and in these cars that makes a big difference.

Thanks Bill. Do you still run same doing on both sides and make up for the difference with the spring jacks? Does the car sit level (side to side) when you’re not in it? Does it sit level when you are in it?
Not sure how perfect is perfect? Lol. Right now I’m just shooting from the hip and trying to get to to go straight while carrying the fromt end. The front end tends to walk right.

It probably sags a bit on the driver side with me in it, but . . . I may play with spring jacking just to see what happens. It's way too much fun driving the dang thing to worry about what it looks like from the rear!
