Re: TEST
There is a lot of info on this site in Tech pages and the picture gallery that isn't on any other sites as to how to build a T-Bucket and if they joined the Forum they could read it or maybe become a member. Pass that on on Face Book.

Re: TEST
Bruce I ask them to join this website every time I get a chance on Fakebook but they don't want a relationship I guess...I don't have a good answer why more folks won't come on here but this is not the only website that has lost action because of Fakebook............I am still here.....

Re: TEST
Sure folks find our group on fb, and when they join the fb group, they think that they have joined the NTBA! I have experienced this with several members of the Carolina T's.
I think that the NTBA fb presence should be a gateway to this website! Maybe the first post on fb should indicate that joining the fb group is not joining the NTBA! Explain the benefits! I challenge our Board to stop posting on fb. If there is an important notice or cancellation, just post a note on fb that there is important information, back on our website! Ultimately, I would love to see the Board eliminate all fb content, except for the picture of a T-Bucket, and a link to our website. Other Clubs do it why can't we?
Originally, I started on fb because there were posts on fb,that were not on this site. If we can get the traffic back here, I would drop fb in a heartbeat. I have been thinking about that anyway, as I find much of the content on fb full of hate and dissension. I rarely feel happy after I leave fb. As the election approaches, it is only going to get worse!
Note: I am unsupervised today and I have not taken my meds, so I could be wrong and/or full of crap. Just my opinion! What is yours?

Re: TEST
I, too, have wondered if there is a way to link important info to this site, off of Fakebook. If the officers would simply put a link to the NTBA site in their posts containing important information, that would draw people here to read what they are saying. Maybe even give a discount (half-off?) for those joining from this web site, rather than FB.
Unfortunately, I don't think most of the leadership in the NTBA shares our passion for this site. They believe the wider appeal and ease of using FB will reach more bucketheads. After a couple years of attempting to relay pictures & stuff from FB to here, I don't see much increase in traffic. Did the train leave the station awreddy . . .

Re: TEST
Spanky, I for one really appreciate your attempt to liven things up here. Your importing of interesting stuff from FB and occasionally Tbucketeer at least provides some content! As the only moderator I am on this site several times a day. It gets pretty lonely!! I just checked our stats and it says we're averaging 9.24 posts per day (that seems high to me!?!?). Tbucketeer used to publish their daily post average but I don't see it anymore. I would guess they get 20-30 posts per day (I get on there once a day just to see what's going on and who is posting.... ahem, ahem!!).
The board has discussed how to increase participation on this site many times. It is ALWAYS a topic of conversation at the Nats. We just haven't been able to come up with anything. Facebook is very tough competition. There are 7,700 members of the Facebook NTBA group!!!
The board has agreed that this site will remain the official internet communication medium for the NTBA. Bruce (and Rolla before him) has been good about posting on Facebook that there is important club information on the website and he will include a link to the post. I have done the same thing numerous times.
Let's keep the conversation going. I'm sending Bruce a note to get him in here.
