Looks like an exciting schedule!!!

I heard that the Corvette Factory & the Corvette Museum suffered damage from the storm. Any news from Bowling Green?

Hi All,
Here is the official schedule for the 2022 NTBA season!
You’ll notice some changes from the tentative post we did a few weeks ago. Unfortunately we had to make a change that we had no control over. We’ve had to postpone the Clearwater, Florida event until next years 2023 schedule. We were unable to secure hotel space in Florida at that time. It will be our first event in the 2023 season!
We also added the Southeast Desert Fun Run in Artesia, New Mexico. This will give our Western States folks an event within reach to attend. You’ll notice it’s scheduled the same weekend as the Show Me State run in Columbia, MO. This is not a mistake, the two events are geographically far enough apart the folks in those areas can attend the closest one to them. The Columbia event is formally the Lake Of The Ozarks run, always put on the weekend after Labor Day weekend. The Artesia event is coordinated with the Local High School Homecoming Parade and have our cars participate.
Our friends and fellow members Danny and Julie Mulroney along with the New Zealand chapter will put on their National Event to start us off. We’re anxious for these pandemic restrictions to be lifted so we can start making the trips down there.
Our first year with Chris and the North Carolina Scallywags Run… Arr!…., and the beauty of the Kitty Hawk area. Some of you folks in the Northeast who have been asking for events, this is a great one to attend.
Angie and Chrome host another west Texas event in Nazareth. If you love to drive your car, this event is wide open spaces cruising, that’s just flat out fun!
Back down to Gulfport, MS and some great cruising along the coast with David and a plate of his fantastic Jambalaya.
The Black Hills run is a beautiful drive with a majestic view of Mt. Rushmore and a tour through Custer State Park!
You don’t want to miss the NTBA Nationals this year in Bowling Green Kentucky! We’ve got an entire week of cruising planned including cave tours, planes, old cars, antique stuff, aviation park museum, an underground river with the longest underground suspension bridge in the world,…..AND scheduled laps on the Corvette test track in our buckets! As well as your choice to drive a new Corvette around the 3 mile road course!
The Artesia, NM run will include a parade, state park and beautiful open desert cruising!
The Columbia, MO event is new this year with many fun surprises while cruising the Show Me State!
The Great River Road Fun Run in Alton, IL is also new with scenic cruising along the side of the Mississippi River, all presented by the St Louis chapter.

Events:

New Zealand Nationals, Christchurch, New Zealand. February 3-6

OBX Scallywags Fun Run… Arr! kitty Hawk, North Carolina. April 21-23

Top of Texas Fun Run Nazareth, Texas. May 5-7

The Crawfish and Crusin Fun Run, Gulfport, MS May 26-28

Black Hills/Mt Rushmore Fun Run, Rapid City, SD. June 16-18

NTBA Nationals Bowling Green, July 13-16

Southeast Desert Fun Run, Artesia, New Mexico. September 8-10

Show Me State Fun Run, Columbia, MO. September 8-10

The Great River Road Fun Run, Alton, IL October 6-8

So get ready to spend some great time with the NTBA family! We look forward to seeing each and every one of you in 2022!

I'm looking forward to attending both venues, Lord willing. Lisa said she will not attend Bowling Green because of the heat, but she will be going with me to South Dakota. I'll try my best this next time around NOT to fall on the jagged rock walkway and rip the palm of my hand wide open again.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and new friends and just friends. Thanks once again for keeping all of us up to snuff on the goings on of the NTBA!!!

Both Lisa and I are booked in at the hotel in South Dakota. Will be arriving on Wednesday and departing on Saturday afternoon sometime. Now I have to just hope the truck can make the round trip adventure. See y'all there!! :)!

Hi All,

It seems we have some more bad news on events for next year.
We have to cancel the OBX Scallywags Run April 21-23 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Due to some existing damage from recent storms, and the hotel’s policies on cutting back with staffing, we were unable to secure the hotels that would have worked for this event.
Hopefully they’ll have all the problems fixed and we’ll be able to go back there in 2023.
Our first event in the states will be the Top Of Texas Run in Nazareth, TX May 5-7

A Note From The NTBA President

Hi All,
We’re having a great response on reserving rooms at the Holiday Inn for Nationals. I talked with the sales department this morning and they told me the early arrival rooms for Sunday the 10th and Monday the 11th are sold out! The hotel has other groups also coming in so we filled and actually exceeded our block for those two days. If your planing on coming in either one of those two days the hotel may or may not have additional rooms available.
Right now there are still available rooms for Tuesday through Saturday. The breakdown is for still available:
Tuesday Jul 12: 15 available
Wednesday July13: 33 available
Thursday July 14: 63 available
Friday July 15: 63 available
Saturday July 16: 70 available

I am checking into some other hotels close by in case we go completely over our blocked room numbers.

We encourage all of you who are thinking of going, to book your room soon as possible and preregister on the website. If plans change your not locked in and can always cancel per the hotel’s guidelines.

All the hotel information is on the website at nationaltbucketalliance.com. Click on Events

See you in Bowling Green!

Hi Folks,
For those of you having trouble with room shortages that are coming in Sunday the 10th or Monday the 11th to NATS in Bowling Green, we have an alternative. The Courtyard Marriott has agreed to help us out for those days and give us the discounted price. The hotel is across the street from the Holiday Inn within walking distance. However, they do not have the truck and trailer parking space, so you’ll have to park your rig in the space we have set up at the Holiday Inn.
We still have plenty of rooms available at the Holiday Inn Tuesday the 12th through Saturday the 16th. All activities will be based from the Holiday Inn including registration room, basket raffles, and meeting rooms. Also all runs will start and finish from their parking lot.
Our thanks to the Courtyard Marriott for helping with any overages.

2023 Nationals

Hi All,

We try to find the location for Nationals a year in advance, so we have the time for all the planning. Plus it’s always fun to announce the next years location at the current years NATS meeting. At this point we’re open for ideas and suggestions on where to do the 2023 NTBA Nationals, so we’re going to ask for everybody’s help.
All of you have a favorite place you’d like to see the event at, so here’s your chance to recommend a location city or area.
Requirements are: it has to have a hotel with enough parking for trucks and trailers, attractions with interest, and scenic routes to drive. We try to stay out of big cities with traffic congestion, and off major highways.
So post your ideas here, along with a brief description of why we would go there. It’ll be fun, and I guarantee we will look at all the locations.

A Note From the NTBA President

Hi Folks,
I know the price of gas is on everybody’s mind and your all trying to figure out what events to make, if any at all!
All events on the schedule will still take place as planned. It is now more of an individual decision to go or not.
I read where some of you are making statements of how high gas prices will go! Bottom line is we just don’t know what will happen! It’s all a guessing game. If any of you know for sure, please send me a lottery ticket, and I’ll pay for everyone’s gas! 😂.
I know there are some solutions to offset the additional cost over what your figured costs were when gas was “reasonable “. Some things (as you know) can be to, cut the event a day or two shorter, saving the room night hotel cost. Or ( I hate to say it 😂) take your gas saving car to the event instead of the gas thirsty truck and trailer. Like we’ve said since this club was started, it’s the people, the family, that keeps us together! Hopefully it’s a short situation, but if we have to adjust until we get through this, then…OK.
As another side note, I would not recommend looking for a “deal” on other hotels than our host hotel. We’ve negotiated the best price and amenities. Plus it’s the center hub for all activities, including all your socializing. It’s not worth giving up all that just to save $5 or $10 a night! Don’t let all our hard work go for nothing. 😁
Hopefully, see you at the next event!
