Hello John, Fortunately, a nicely built BBC is easy to find. Getting my tool box out of Puget Sound will be decidedly harder. I think I am going to change the name of my T from Half a Bubble Off, to Fragile T.

Alright Ceec, inquiring minds want to know the details. what in the blazes are you talking about? Did your big block actually blow, is your tool box in the ocean? WHAT HAPPENED. April fools day was couple of days ago. Clue us in please. How could something like that make you Happy.

I tried to throw my Mac Macsimizer in the water, but it only rolled on to the the railroad track and was struck by a BNSF coal train.

Actually, the oil pressure dropped off to zero instantly and smoke started coming out of the breathers. I was doing about 30 mph in traffic. I live on a rather steep hill so I turned around and coasted almost all the way home. I started it to get up my driveway and shut it back off. It is put away and being punished.

Bumf and I are making a plan. Prolly will take the distributor our first and check the oil pump drive. Then go into it until I find what busted. When I get it to the point that I can see the garage floor through the engine, I'll pull it and go ""reason"" with the engine dude.

Maybe I'll just sell it all and buy a Fiat.

Well, That sucks. You may get lucky, Got her shut down quick and wasn't at high RPM. Of course you could go all electric wit a real long extension cord. Seriously keep us informed.

My bet would be you trashed some cam bearings. Hope it's an easy fix of whatever! DON'T sell it.

Hello Duke. I considered going electric and getting some of them lithium batteries off a 787. Then it would burn down in spectacular fashion. I'm done with that consideration

Sounds like a little scenario from my big block days.......finally found that a roller rocker had come apart and a roller bearing lodged in the oil pump locking it up..... lucky for me no damage other than a new oil pump , roller rocker and a new nylon coupling...good luck...I hope it is a cheap fix......

The problem has been isolated! The oil pump pickup fell into the bottom of the pan. The machine shop acknowledges their error. So, they bought the new pump and pickup and I bought the "stuff" like gaskets, oil, sealent, etc.

Now I gotta figger out how to keep the new pickup from falling out and how to install it, as a matter of fact.

Working on it now.
