Pre NATS fun run with Bruce
Hi All,
I wanted to get the word out so early plans could be made if anyone wants to join me.
I am putting together an informal run a few days before NATS. I will continue to work out details but this is what we have so far for anybody that wants to mark the dates.
It starts in Flagstaff,Northern Arizona. Dates are...
Thursday June, 15. Grand Canyon run/tour
Friday. June, 16. Sedona, Az/ Oak Creek Canyon run. Possible cruise in with the Flagstaff car club at the Gallaxy Diner
Saturday. June, 17. Caravan to Las Vegas, stay the night
Sunday. June. 18. Continue north to Carson City
So, here's the lowdown! This will NOT be an official NTBA event. This is what I'm planning so anybody is welcome to go with me. I'm structuring it like one of our events, but anybody is welcome to join me for all the days , or come and go at your leisure. I will plan the lunch and gas stops. You don't have to stay with the group, especially traveling up to Las Vegas and Carson City, but you are more than welcome to.
I'm not getting an event hotel, but you have lots to choose from. Along I40, Butler exit and Lucky Ln., on the east side of Flagstaff are 7 or 8 hotels to choose from. Across the freeway is Black Bart's RV park and steak house/dinner theater. This area will be the starting point of our runs. The first run will be Thursday morning, so if you want to join us, get there Wednesday night. Again we will leave for LV on Saturday so your Flagstaff hotel is for Wed. Thurs and Fri. Nights
In Las Vegas I'll have some suggestions on hotels and an RV park. Again you have the option of staying with the group or going with your own plans.
This is the idea. I'll get more detailed on the runs coming up soon. I hope many of you can join me, its beautiful scenery and great cruising. I know there will be questions, and I'll try to answer all of them, but we're going to keep it a simple and informal gathering. Just a little warm up on the way to NATS

Re: Pre NATS fun run with Bruce
Hi Folks,
Some ideas on places to stay on n Flagstaff. For the campers there are four RV parks, KOA, Greers Pins Shadows, J and H RV park and Black Bart's. Right now I'm thinking Greers pine Shadows. I called and talked with the manager and they won't take any reservations until mid April, but he said we'd be OK for space. Told him about our cars, he said the garage next to the property is owned by president of one of the two car clubs in town. So they would be use to the noise! I think it's about $29 a night. I'll check this place out further.
The hotels are on the east side of Flagstaff around Lucky Lane and Bronco Way. Howard Johnson Flagstaff, Comfort Inn, Motel 6, Ramada Inn, Holiday Inn Express etc.
Look at the google Earth maps or similar for hotels that are on the east side of Flagstaff, and familiarize yourself with the area. Read reviews and check prices for your decision. There is a Cracker Barrow restaurant at Lucky Ln and Bronco that we will probably use as a meeting/starting place.
This is the area but exact locations may change. More to come

I'll be with y'all on this run. Not sure at this time if Wanda will be with me. OK Wanda will NOT be going with me. so my coach will sleep 5, 2 in bedroom, 2 on fold out couch, and me in lazy boy.

From St Louis to Flagstaff via Carlsbad is not the most direct route, I'm sure you know that.............but Artesia is real close to Carlsbad so let us know when you two are in the area..........LOL.............Rolla Hessel wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2017 8:53 am We plan to be there also Bruce.
