New Member in Nor Cal
Hello all,
Glad to be around like minded bucket heads. Built my first bucket last year. On the road for a few months now. Always wanted one, raised a family first. Priorities, go figure.
It’s a glass 23 with 632 Chevy, powerglide & a 9” with 3.25 gears and a mini spool. All self built. Chassis is low slung with transverse torsion bar in front and coil overs rear. When I figure out how I’ll post a pic.
Anyway, I look forward from meeting and learning from the vast wealth of experiences and knowledge within this group.
Best,
Hack

A big St Louis welcome to you, Hack! This is definitely a great group to hang with, and lots of info available designed for T-buckets. Here, T-buckets rule
; on other hot rod sites, we sort of take a back seat.
Great to have you in the family!

Spanky,
I sure understand what you mean by the buckets taking a back seat. I’ve taken it to a few shows this summer. The million dollar bought not built model A crowd isn’t for me, I’m not for them. I can’t hang with the Rat rods all that well either. Not sure when my last tetanus shot was. I sure like some of the Rat Rods, but now those are turning into money pit builds also. I built this project on a shoestring budget. Did paint and interior in the garage with my daughters help. All mechanical including motor tranny and rear end built myself from piles of cores.
I did win a Best UnderConstruction award. I had to tell them that the build was finished because my wallet was empty.
Sorry for the novel. There seem to be only a few active people in he forums.
See ya,

Damn it worked! Here’s a few more. Ya’ll can throw out some guidance if I’m breaking any rules or etiquette.
Laid out the P40 (or A-10 depending on your generation) teeth. Daughter and I did it with masking tape and rattle cans

Re: New Member in Nor Cal
So next projects are windshield, friction shocks on front end and jumping thru California’s tiny flaming hoops of Unobtanium and Cantgettium to try and get this thing into the system. I’ve got a whole pile of license plates in the garage and the all fit well. Unfortunately none of them are legit.
The windshield tech page was a great read. I look forward to tackling that soon.
Thanks again
