Hi there. Hope you can help with my weird request. Randy Slama was a member of your club around 2007-2009. He was the owner of LRS in mt. Vernon, MO for several years before selling the business around 2010/2011. Randy had a stroke in 2012 and is doing great except for his aphasia which is the inability to speak. He’s been in therapy since his stroke and continues to improve.
Anyway, his memory has suffered and just bits and pieces come back to him every once in a while. He built a 1923 T Bucket from the ground up with a big block Chevy engine, pearl white with grey interior and LOTS of chrome and polished stainless steel. We went to lots of show where I spent most of the time cleaning it (a favorite pastime of most of you bucket heads). We were members when Punkin was president, Tim the toolman was VP, and Fred Challender talked a lot about his bucket....did he ever get it done.
We sold his car to someone in CA some where around 2009. Believe it or not, we can’t find a picture of that car anywhere. I wanted to see if any alliance members might remember Randy and his car and if, by chance, anyone out there might have a picture of it. It did win best engine in the street rod nationals in Springfield mo, but can’t remember when. Pictures were taken of the winning car, but can’t remember by what magazine.
This may be a long shot, but we would appreciate anything you can do to help us get a picture. He would really get a kick out of it cuz he doesn’t even remember building the car.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks Lee, I did happen to have a few of basically the Jag rear end primarily and a rear view of the car and have already emailed them. It absolutely was a very nice car inside and out. Who ever ended up with it has a real winner on their hands for sure.

Bucket Head Bash Forum has a lot also--yea it is still up but no one posting
If you or HiTec can post at least 1 photo, I'll help search.

I actually had a couple of photos that I sent to them. I just thought I’d see if there were more out there. Also posted on Facebook and there have been a bunch of responses.

Hi all,
I do happen to have about 27 pictures of the car. They were taken at the Kansas City Nationals and at the shop in Mt. Vernon. Most are not of the complete car because I was in the planning stages of building ours. There are a few total car pictures, just not as good as Lee's.
Some of you may recognize a slightly younger version of my beautiful wife Dianne with Randy at the Kansas City Nationals.
