Are we on borrowed time?
Just watched a news story about how Great Britain is banning gasoline cars by 2030 as part of the GREEN PLAN!!! Are we on borrowed time with our beloved rods?

Even the New Green Deal knows that they will never get the oil fields shut down cause they have to have something to power the chargers for their Battery Powered Cars............LOL ......there will not, in my lifetime, be batteries good enough to power the night between Evening & Morning......People like to many street/parking lot lights..........I will enjoy the Buckets/hot rods I hope as long as I am living in these United States of America.......

TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN, YET THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE, SO ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS

At worst, it'll happen and be rather short-lived. Those folks that make or set policy like their lighting, heat, A/C, air travel, limousines, backyard barbecues, and all the other trappings of normal life far too much. Once they find out that it'll all be in short supply, or non existent, the "Green New Deal" will go away rather hastily.
And with a little luck, the voters will make them go away rather hastily.
Just my thoughts.....Roger

If I leave NY city with my 35 foot boat towed by an electric truck--how many days will it take?
If I live in Michigan--will my electric car get me to work and back? 60 mile commute one way. 30* below.
They are a coming but will never replace the ICE.

Re: Are we on borrowed time?
California did the same thing.
Great Britain is a liberal socialist country. This decision was made to appease those that think the earth is dying. Funny thing, GB still has houses and commercial buildings heated with fuel oil and coal.
Does anyone think that small island switching to electric will make a difference to the " Global Warming" theory?
The Brits think that if they do this other countries will follow. Even though the rest of Europe is pissed off at them for leaving the European Union.
Russia and Saudi Arabi aren't going to do this anytime soon it would greatly impact their economies.
I spent 4 years in the UK stationed at RAF Lakenheath. I've seen similar decisions made by their government either get reversed or extended because they just can't get things done. Their Parliament is worse than our Congress

Grant - I sure hope you are correct. I think I heard Biden say that the transition would begin in 2025 or maybe I heard the wrong year.
