Does Anyone Recognize These Tail Lights?

Post by rbsWELDER »

These are the tailights on Ed Roth's Mysterion. I was wondering if anyone can recognize them and identify the year, make, and model of car they came from.

Thanks,

Mark

Some Pontiac I think maybe as late as early 60's. This is a 1950 Pontiac, and I could see it morph into the OP's picture.

The article in road & custom says
"Dave fabricated this rearend from two '46 Ford pickup axles. The hindquarters required '61 Galaxie taillights."

I thought these were '61 Galaxie tail lights. First year of the 390 FE engine.
