here comes SANDY.... the way it looks.. me and cornshuck Al are in the path.. good news is i don't need to water the lawn for a few days.. i guess i'll find out how well i built my garage too... gonna do prep work tomorrow.. i'm hoping we will be on the southern side of the eye... got my fingers crossed and insurance papers in hand too.. talking power outage for 5 days... got gen but need more then 7 gal of gas.. Oh well..

Siphon from the T. That is how I got through our last power outage, generator didn't mind premium gas. I have a pellet stove that doesn't need much wattage to run the augar and blower, plenty left for fridge, microwave, TV and lights.

The weather man is saying we could get up to 2" of snow out of this, down south here. Rain off this hurricane and a cold front from the north west are gonna meet over the TN valley. Crazy weather!

Just now starting to get some gusts---nothing serious - Rehoboth Beach is a ghost town today--80,000 people were on the streets yesterday for a Halloween Festival. The only thing down there now is the TV network trucks!!!!!! Traffic is nuts and I just got a message on my phone that route 1 is closed about ten miles south of here---the sea is breaking across the road!!

One big concern is that Punkin Chunkin is next weekend and a lot of the machines are already in place---NOW THAT IS SERIOUS !

gota few things to do today.. make sure gutters on clean from pine needles, and extend the down spouts.. oh and make sure the sump pump is working...
i have NO doubt that the ocean will see the bay tomorrow via the rt1 crossing, or flooding of the road. sure hope the 5 or 10 million buck homes got the inc paid up..

Hope you fellas get the much needed fuel NOW for those generators. I'm thinking if the power goes out, so go the pumps for fuel at the service stations. Oh great...I suppose the fuel prices in the Midwest will be on the rise again.
