Front Leaf Springs

Can anyone recommend installing the teflon liner or buttons between the front leaf springs for better ride quality? Which one is better? I know the liners have been known to move around and pucker, especially if you use the one without the lip. The buttons cannot move around like the liners but you have to drill a hole in the leaf and you have the button stem sticking up through the top which is not so attractive.

Was it a big job drilling the spring steel? My springs are already chromed so I will need to be careful not to screw them up.

If you are already chromed, I would then go with the slipper Teflon inserts. Drilling a chromed piece can be done, but it can chip out really easy.

Mine came from Speedway with the buttons installed so I am sure the were drilled/punched before they were harden....Drilling them now will be tough......

Use the strips, but I would now expect them to stay in place without adjusting them often until they set in place and they will down the line some........
