King Pins

I have the driver's king pin coming out about 3/8". I can loosen the set screw and tap the pin back in. Is that the correct process?

Second, how often should I be lubricating the king pins?

The procedure you described (tap it back in and tighten the setscrew) is correct. However, why did it come loose? Most kingpins have a flat place machined into them that provides a "seat" for the setscrew, and they have to loosen quite a bit before they would allow the kingpin to float upward. Also, look for a zirk on the side of the spindle for grease gun lubrication - once per year should be enough unless you do an awful lot of driving.
