Got a new top. It is a heaver Auto convertible material. Much heaver than the canvas I had before. It is much quitter now. (wind noise).

Is this a Carson Top and why do they call them Carson Tops?

No, it's not a Carson top. According to Aero Upholstery's web site, "A Carson Top is a removable, one piece, non-folding, padded and upholstered top typically made for and used on Kustom Cars and hot rod automobiles. Bob Houser designed and invented the Caron Top in 1935. They are often referred to as having a ‘rakish’ appearance; dashing, stylish, disreputable, very cool… "
