BBQ info

Been slow getting here to post this year, so sorry for that. Doing the BBQ again this year, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd.

I'll start by opening my shop up for anyone that wants to show up early Thursday. I have a lift and lots of tools. We can look over your car, checking bolts and make sure your ready for another safe year of fun. For all those that show up early enough on Thursday, I'll lead an afternoon cruise down some winding roads for dinner.

Friday morning I'll lead everyone on another cruise through the Ozarks, stopping for lunch, and ending sometime in the early afternoon. I've got a few ideas, but haven't finalized the cruise route yet. It will be typical of a cruise with me,,, you will be driving over 100 miles. Friday evening there will be cruising on Glenstone in Springfield, where the NSRA's event is going on. If the weather is warm after sunset there will be hundreds of street rods cruising and the street will be lined with people watching.

Saturday morning I'll be starting the fires in the smokers. The fairgrounds in Springfield will have thousands of street rods for the NSRA event for those that want to go. My shop will be available for those that want to use the lift, and I'll be home for anyone that just wants to stand around and bench race while I cook on the smokers. Saturday afternoon I'll lead a cruise out to the house and we will eat smoked burgers and brats. I'll provide the meats and condiments, you all bring the rest (potluck).

Sunday & Monday will b open for recovery and travel. If enough people want, I will put together a cruise for us on Sunday.

I'll be posting motel details over the next week, life's been kinda busy and I haven't talked to them yet.

i have the info and im gonna try to make it even if my car is not ready. i have a friend from here who has a T and his may b ready by then and we may ride up in his. if not i may just show up in my regular car for some fun and to look at a lot of cars. hope to see ya. thanks, isaac

When I walked in to talk to her she came to the desk and said "Hi John. How are you and Tammy? Here to talk about this years BBQ?" Just to let you guys know, they look forward to seeing us there every year, just as much as Tammy & I look forward to seeing you.

The RV park is next door to the Super 8. The have always treated us good with from what I understand an exceptional rate.

If anyone is looking for a room, I'm giving mine up today. I have decided that John's BBQ and the NSRA event is NOT in the cards again for me this year. How could I forget a little event taking place up here in July? Too little time with so much to do and pretty certain the udder half would not be happy with my taking off. Sooooo, I will do it next year, God's will to keep on this earth a few more years.
