Fuel Mileage
I am planning to attend the National in Carson City, my first National event, and was concerned about fuel mileage. I want to do everything I can make time for, poker runs, cruise around Tahoe, everything. However with a 10 gallon tank and my little fire breather getting only 3 or 4 miles to the gallon how does everyone get around. Do I need a support vehicle to carries extra fuel or are these evens planned with short to medium range in mind?
I sincerely appreciate any insight a veteran my have for me.

Re: Fuel Mileage
Hey Tom - - - I can carry an extra gas can for you. If we leave Carson City with the trailer, I can put two 5 gallon containers on the roof!....lyle

Re: Fuel Mileage
Hey Tom, we have many members that get low mileage so we usually set the fuel stops accordingly on the cruises.
And Ice cream stops

Re: Fuel Mileage
Windy knows the score.......Trust me you will have plenty of help and gas on the cruises cause some Buckets need lots of stops for Ice Cream, Pit (also known as pee stop) stops, Fuel & then there is that Food thing we never can go very far without Food...............O" Yes don't forget sightseeing.............

TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN, YET THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE, SO ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS

Re: Fuel Mileage
Outstanding, sounds like extra napkins and a cup holder should be my worries and not availability to fuel. I very much appreciate the responses and in such short order. This means I don't have to build a fuel trailer with and I.V. hose to my ride.
I look forward to the evens and meeting new friends with the same vehicular affliction.
Thanks again,
Tom

Re: Fuel Mileage
Hey Tom, I have the largest fuel capacity of any tea bucket at 30 gallons and I still run out. Fuel stops will not be a problem

Welcome to the NTBA Family. I look forward to meeting you in Carson City.
