Yeah, I miss old style gas stations. Today, all of them have a mini mart hooked to them, when I worked at Union 76 back in the early 70's, if you wanted to eat something the most you could get was a candy bar out of one of these

And this one came ashore during the oil company's "contrived" oil shortage in 1973. This was when big oil shot themselves and Detroit in the foot. 1973 was the beginning of lowered compression ratios for the new unleaded gas, and most all cars back then got 10~12 mpg. Add that to the even/odd fill up days, and our nation couldn't get enough of those 25 mpg Toyota and Datsuns. Detroit suffered and so did the oil companies even though it was the oil companies actions that caused it.
