Cruising to the Desert Run!

We left home on the 31st heading for the cool Desert
Spankey, we found a whole town full of "Giant Alerts" Casey, IL.

We made it to Cuba, MO and Route 66.

Good, come on down but be aware that the Desert has turned Green cause the Rain has come & gone I hope......Also do not want Hard Water from the clouds please...........
I like that birdcage looks like it is just a fit for you..........LOL.......

After a one day rain delay we made it to the next state line.

Before lunch we stopped for fuel and I noticed oil dripping under the rear end! Couldn't quite see where it was coming from so decided to keep an eye on it until we stopped for the night. Well I found the culprit, an oil bottle in the storage compartment had a crack in it from riding there. It was leaking and running out a drain hole in the compartment! Whew!

The annual Artesia Bull Dog festivities, guess who that old fart is ahead of us? It was great to see him again.

Pecan orchards around Artesia, said to be over 80,000 trees in the area.

Artesia is behind us for this year. Jodie and I want to thank Bill, Mike, and Jerry for a great time! We didn't go away hungry that's for sure!
