You know, Zora Arkus Duntov started out as a Ford man, creating the Ar-Dun OHV conversion for Henry Ford's flathead V-8. However, Ford ws not interested in hiring him at that time. When GM came out with their Corvette sports car, Duntov saw its potential and convinced Ed Cole to hire him. When GM introduced the small block V-8 in 1955, Duntov immediately saw it as the perfect engine to help soup up the 1955 Corvette. The rest is history.
