Even though there is no set cruise schedule, we do tend to do some of the same things every year...
-- We will probably go to dinner as a group Wednesday evening... probably to Rizzo's (excellent Italian and pizza!).
-- Thursday there will probably be a half-day cruise somewhere around the lake. Thursday evening there will probably be a couple of different groups going to dinner at different places (we tend to overwhelm most restaurants if we show up as a large group with no prior arrangements). Osage Beach being a resort area, there are lots of choices for excellent food.
-- Friday a group will probably cruise to the winery, the cheese place and the distillery (not necessarily in that order!). Friday evening there is a car show in Lake Ozark. It is a little different, in that the show cars are mostly parked down the center turn lane of the main street and the spectators drive through town to see the cars. It can take an hour or more to get through town as everyone is going about 1 mile an hour!
-- Saturday we usually cruise as a large group to the car show in Laurie, MO. Many of the same cars that are in the Friday night show will be in the Saturday show, so you may want to skip the brain damage of crawling through the show Friday night. In Laurie, we cruise through the fairgrounds as a group, then park the Ts for an hour or so to eye-ball the show cars. Then we head off to one of the lakeside party bars for lunch. Saturday afternoon everyone is on their own while the crew prepares the barbeque and sets up dinner.
-- Saturday night is the barbeque dinner and raffles. Afterward there will be some well-lubricated bench racing in the parking lot. In fact, that happens every night!!
-- For those with a short drive home Sunday, there will be a cruise to breakfast before we head home.
-- There is an excellent, large outlet mall in Osage Beach that folks can go to on their own anytime.
-- The hotel has a breakfast bar that is just OK. Some folks will probably cruise to breakfast one or more mornings.
-- There are a couple of decent go-kart tracks in town.
Lastly, be cool with your T. The local po-po has always treated us well, and we have respected them. Don't do anything stupid on the street and you will be good to go!
