Home at last . . .

Post by Bill Cleveland »

But not without some difficulties. Bob Barram, Paddy Wagon, left for home in Frisco, TX and got as far as Eureka, MO before his first mishap. Bob writes: "When I got to Eureka Missouri about two hours down the road, my bracket for the panhard bar cracked again, only this time on the axle. While the guy was repairing that he told me that the U joints were bad, so I tried finding them at the part store but they didn’t have them. The guy at the parts store knew someone had performance that made them for Jeggs. So I spent the night there and the next morning replaced that. Then I discovered that one of my brake lights was cracked so I spent more time replacing that. Finally got out of town in about eight hours later when I was south of Tulsa my oil sensor unit on the engine broke. By this time everything was closed. But all I needed was a five dollar part from Lowe’s which was right next-door to where I spent the night. I got that replaced and was on the road by 9 o’clock. Finally got home at 3 PM Tuesday. Praise God that nothing happened drastic that would’ve cost me to get hurt."
