Getting ready for the "long trip"

Post by Lugnut »

Got the bucket up and running last night with the assistance of Chad (oldredT). Got the hot rod all spiffed up. Only thing I have to do today BEFORE loading it on trailer, is to throw a coat of wax on the bucket and air up the tires.

Put together items to take with such as jack, lug wrench, some tools, car cover, tube chair for Lisa and a few other items.

We're leaving outta here Tuesday about 0900. Lay over either in St. Louis south county or in Festus, Mo. get up early Wednesday morning and point the truck south.

See y'all when we get there! Ciao. :)!

Change of plans>>>>>

Change of plans.....

We are NOT departing at 0900 hours. We cannot depart until UPS arrives with Lisa's check to pay taxes. And to have some play money for the trip. They said delivery could be anywhere between 0900 and 1500 hours! Lord help us if it is 1500 hours! As there will be NO way that we will arrive on Wednesday. AND we changed our hotel brand and location due to attempting to save "some" $$$$ Instead of Hampton Inn in south county, we will be resting at the La Quinta in Collinsville, IL.

So we will arrive in Baldwin when we arrive . Thanks Jay, I WILL drive safe, since I am the only driver of the rig. I DO expect an ice cold O'Douls to be handed to me upon our arrival at the hotel in Baldwin! :)!

Figure we should be rolling in around 10 pm. Did not leave home till 3:30 yesterday afternoon and arrived in Collinsville, IL at 0100 and went to bed.

See y’all later tonight.
