If any of you are still on the fence about coming to the Top of Texas Cruise, a cabin at the Yellow Rose Inn opened up yesterday. Sure would like to see a person fill it...

We would be on the road right now if it weren’t for Cuz having Shingles and Mary Seper’s father passing away this past Friday. Cuz is not up to traveling right now, and we have the funeral tomorrow for Mary’s Dad. We had hoped to surprise you Angie, and will miss seeing everyone, the awesome hospitality and food you provide, and of course the hugs and comradarie of our NTBA family. Hope to see you in Redwing, Springfield, or New Hampshire!!!

Next up, John and Tammy’s BBQ for us !!

Looks like I will not be able to get there until Saturday morning. Still fixing my electric system so turn signals work and can pass inspection.

Sure wish I could be there to see everyone!!! Had a great time last year!!!

The wife has a job related conflict .... Oh and I bent an Intake Valve on the #1 Cylinder,
so I'm still putting the motor back together.

Thanks for asking Lyle, I didn't think anyone even noticed !!!

Yes I over revered the motor, probably slightly north of 6600 RPM. Luckily it didn't leave any damage on the piston. I sent all my hydraulic roller lifters back to Crower to have checked out. They did a flow test, what every that is and found two more lifter that were not right. I found one where the clip came out of the top and was sticking to a magnet I had in the valley. To make it right Crower sold me 3 lifter at $18 each less than the Summit price. I pointed out to them that I had a build thread that has over 71,000 views and I was looking for a fair resolution to the problem. Crower did the right thing and I am happy with them. I could make this story much longer, but .....

I took vacation tomorrow and Thursday, I hope to drive it Thursday. It has a completely new fuel system with 1/2 inch SS and braided lines that will be an unknown, so who knows what might come up and something usually does.

Just wanted to say thanks!

Linda and I attended "Top of TX' event altho with unfinished, undriveable 23. Enjoyed our time there, special thanks to Harv and Angie for electrical hook-up, hospitality and help/advice with our bucket. Also, thanks to Bruce and Bill for sharing rides for Linda and I to cruises and dinners. We had a good time, met some really nice folks and hope y'all did as well.

Great event!
