Polished Headlight Stanchions to hold headlight

I have a stupid question about which way to Mount these. If you mount them one way on top of the frame the thin part is pointing forward and the thick part is pointing towards the rear or if you put that one on the other side the thick part is pointing forward and the thin part pointing to the rear. These are the polished ones that speedway sells. I have tried looking at pictures of buckets on the Internet but cannot zoom in close enough to tell which direction they go Any help would be appreciated thank you.

I think most folks mount them with the thick edge forward. That's the way mine are. As in most aspects of a hot rod, it's all a matter of taste. Mount them the way you like them.
