I have a pinhole leak in my radiator. I was wondering if anyone had experience with any of the chemical leak stop products.
Recommendations? or
Avoid at all cost?
Thanks,
Radiator Leaking

Re: Radiator Leaking
As great as they sound anything but the correct fix is temporary at best. It is WAY better to just take the radiator out and get it fixed correctly rather than risk your rod.
That said, I have used stop leak in cars i did not care about at all. It did stop the leak, but I would not want it flowing through my cooling system very long.

Re: Radiator Leaking
Mark,
Agreed with what BigFoot suggested. For your daily driver I know, but I would NOT use any of those stop leak products unless I were stuck somewhere. Take it to a repair shop or get one from a boneyard....better yet, forget the boneyard. Take the radiator to a shop.

Re: Radiator Leaking
Barr's Leak actually works quite well. I had a leak in the Tub T and used that. Once it quit, I drained the radiator and flushed it, put new antifreeze in, and it lasted for years.
