hey guys and girls, need some info and/or advice. need to buy the electric brake controler for our truck. we have a gmc sierra, 04 model. would like advice on which one to buy, we have heard a lot about the tekonsa (dont know the spelling lol) they have different model #'s and there are different brands, i can get the prodigy P3 from amazon for $125.00, i have seen that price around, do i need that or have any of you used one from a auto parts store like oreily's or auto zone that sell for about $85? would like some info.thanks

I used one of those makes on both my MH & Pickup but it has been so long I don't remember the subspecies......

I installed brake control (came out of my old '78 truck) on my T

- - - wow - - with 10" brakes on the trailer - - not sure if I need brakes on T

This thing is more fun to drive . . . I can't hardly bring myself to take it apart for painting


Oh well . . . paint is ordered, and should be here by the end of the week

Do you plan on driving it again this summer? If not then why not wait until the fall
and shoot it then. I could hardly stand it when mine was gone for 4 weeks getting
the upholstery done, so I know how you feel.

The answer is, YES, I plan on driving it at the Indy Nats in early July, hopefully around the Brickyard Track! So I want to go ahead and get the painting done in time for Indy. I need to get busy!!!

Spank, I drove mine around in gel coat and primer for three years before painting it. I'm glad I did, as I made several changes in that time that would have ruined a final paint job. Don't worry about painting it... get the mechanicals, electricals and suspension right, drive it 'til it feels right, then paint it.

Amen to Lee's comment. Drive it Bill, I think it's a beauty just as it sets. A real bug killer in my book
