Well . . . interesting, but still doesn't register on my 'cool meter' - I guess I'm just a traditionalist when it comes to T-buckets. :|

There is kind of a cult following for the Volks Rods. Being an ex air cooled VW guy, I guess I gave an appreciation for the work that's gone into that ride, but I'm not a fan of the exposed engine out back. I think I'd like the whole package better with a turtle deck and a track roadster nose. <shrug>

I hear ya....I never cared much for the VW based replicas except for the 356s...the fake grille/radiators rub me the wrong way. Which is the reason for me that a grill-less track roadster nose would be the saving alteration. Regardless, the only way there would be one taking up space in my driveway would be if it came for less than a silly low price, with the intent of an eventual flip.

I just bought one of the Kent Fuller/Speedway Motors knockoffs on eBay. I think it's cool. And mine looks way better than either of these. Dragmaster front end, Harley-Davidson front discs.

I have had many VW's in my lifetime and still do, but they do not belong in a t-bucket body/frame. MY 2 CENTS
