More chain hoist stuff

Post by frank_a »

Thought I posted this this morning, but it's not here?

Anyways, spreading the load with some 3/4 inch 7 ply real good plywood, long as I could get it in there. Still need to tighten eye bolts, figure out how to strap it up, then hoist. More later.

Next project - glassing in nuts

Post by frank_a »

Nuts to hold the fan shroud to the radiator, nuts to hold the electric fan to the shroud...

Fun with fiberglass 101. Experiment may work, may not. Will test rigorously. If it doesn't work, it's kitty hair time!

Hoist works great

Post by frank_a »

Needs a bit of adjustment next time, but did the trick this morning. Took no effort on my part, other than pulling a chain... :)!

First pic shows my son essentially holding the back up very easily, second pic, it's on my cart, ready for a bunch of work.

Windy, I assume with that 1 inch cratex stick, do my firewall in a 3/4 inch grid right? I'm going to set up that drill press somewhere else anyways. More later.

Enjoy your trip to Mooresville, NC. Wish I could attend, but that's right after we get back from Myrtle Beach.

Thanks for the help, much appreciated.
