Ok, just indulge me a bit. These little hot rods of ours are tons of fun, and I love everything about them - working on my bucket gives me joy. Even changing the oil is fun. However, I just spent over an hour on my back under the dashboard tightening up the fasteners on my steering column support. I'm getting too old for this kind of job, but there is nobody else who could do it. When I installed the steering column (see pic below), the wiring was not complete, nor were any of the switches installed (headlights, ignition, etc) nor was the dash panel. Access to the column support was not difficult. But now, with all the switches, gauges, wires etc. getting to it was a nightmare. Trying to get a wobbly socket up there and find room to turn the darn wrench was no fun - about an eighth turn was all I could manage. But . . . got 'er done, and steering column is all good and rock solid again.

I feel your pain, Mark. I read your saga in the Mountain Home Event section, and I am fortunate that I realized some looseness BEFORE the column wound up in my lap!
