Life is a precious gift from our Creator, and as we see NTBA friends pass from this Earth we all pause to reflect on our thankfulness. Sharon Diehl, widow of Jim Diehl (who died last September) completed her earthly sojourn on July 14, after several months in an extended care facility. Her legacy is that of a perfect buckethead wife – eager to participate in club events and gracious in hosting meetings in her home. She and Jim hosted the St Louis Chapter Christmas Party during our first two years until the size of our group made it difficult to continue in a private home.
She and Jim were fixtures in the NTBA, and pioneers during the early days of the club’s existence. Jim was the NTBA Treasurer at its founding, and a vital part of the leadership during our transition from “National T Bucket Association” to “National T Bucket Alliance.” Sharon’s support for Jim and the club was steadfast, all while maintaining a loving home for Jim & their children. Her ready smile lit up whatever activity she participated in, and I never knew her to utter an unkind word about anybody. Sharon, we’ll miss you, dearly! May your heavenly cruise be smooth and joyous!
