I also dislike face book. I am sure it has its merits but to many people put out to much information a little at a time without realizing it, then wonder how their identity get tampered with. You see people publicly post when they are going away and how long they will be gone, then they wonder how the thieves knew when to hit. I hear people bragging they have hundreds of friends on Facebook but how many do they really know any thing about. To each his own its just not for me. I miss the times we used to have here, I think it helped to build the "family".

I don't use Facebook and would rather not start using it unless it becomes the only way to get NTBA info - I hope it doesn't ever get to that point. I like this website and appreciate the efforts that Ted, Jan, the Officers, and members have put into it. I realize that Facebook is very widely used and I am not knocking it - just don't care to use it.

I assure you that FB is NOT a replacement for our Website and the website WILL NOT GO AWAY!! Ted, Jan and Lee work hard to keep it up and make sure our members and guests have a good experience with this site! Our FB page actually started more than a few years ago as another media option to get others involved withvthe NTBA.

Tim and his group managing FB are also doing a great job and Tim and I have discussed ways to make sure info is on both. I do monitor both and promise you that any important information from the Officers / Board will be posted on both forums.

In either case, FB or our website, it is only as good as we the members make it!! Remember, the content comes from you, the members
