I was on your dyno that year at Fred's Fun Run, and perfect timing as I just built the engine and that was its first pull. To be honest, I'm not sure folks want to know the truth, as bench racing is popular among us. There is a hp poll posted here that currently 19% of the respondents report running over 551 hp. http://nationaltbucketalliance.com/bb/v ... f=32&t=618 If memory serves, that year at Fred's we had quite a few lining up for a pull, but when most were turning in numbers from 119 hp to just shy of 200 hp, the interest kind of died off if you know what I mean. The older gentleman with the 454 cid mouse and you turned in the two highest hp numbers. I managed 432.5 lb/ft @ 2800, which I don't know if it was the highest for a naturally aspirated sbc, (I think it was) but it was the highest at that low of an rpm among everyone that ran.

I vote (I know it is pricey for you to haul it to Carson City) to have it, but I'm probably in the minority.

Well, I don't feel quite so bad about the 209 on the TubT. And that's with basically a stock 350 and cutting off at 4500 rpm (I was afraid of u-joint problems due to the pinion angle problem I had at the time).

I got off mine at about 4650 because I figured the way I built the engine I had already hit both peak torque and hp by then. Turns out peak hp was at 4050.

I think if there is enough interest , There should be a pre pay to cover the expences for Chris by the ones wanting to do it . Then it would be up to him , if he wanted all the extra work and transporting issues involved . Just my two cents worth ..

While apprecite the consideration as to pre-pay, that's not what I have in mind. If there is enough interest in having the dyno, this would be gratis to my T-Bucket family and I would not expect any payment. As other have mentioned, I have brought the dyno to other T-Bucket events locally and would never ask for payment. I just want to insure there is enough interest before I bring the dyno up. This would be my donation to the national T-Bucket event. I will leave the burden on the NTBA if they wish to charge for the session or not. Those details need to be worked out with the event cooridnators. Also, as I have done in the past for some events I have donated a THM-350 transmission with a converter. as well.
