And I have to wonder why you can't mellow out. It was showing a high gear ratio, and shouldn't be any skin off your nose.

Bob, do you make a habit of driving 115 mph before your engine warms up ?

I didn't have the T-stat in and ambient temp was about 55* that day. Oil was hot and flowing.

I do not advocate breaking the speed laws and for 95% of my driving I'm right at the speed limit.
